Who are we?
Most of us are members of the Hebron Reformed Presbyterian Church in Clay Center. The KSU students that make up our group come from homeschool, Christian school, and public school backgrounds. On Sunday evenings we meet together in Manhattan at a family's home. During the week we participate in men's and women's bible studies held in Manhattan.
What is distinctive about a "reformed" church?
A reformed church is one that has a high regard for the principles of the Reformation as it seeks to proclaim the gospel of Christ clearly and influence its culture with a distinctively historical Christian worldview. Some of those principles are summarized by the statements that God communicates his truth to us by "Scripture alone" and people receive eternal life "by God's grace alone, through Christ alone, by faith alone".What would a visit to one of our meetings be like?
We have simple, uncomplicated, but Biblical services. Typically, we pray, sing Psalms, and listen to a Bible based message from a pastor, which was the format practiced in the early church and revived during the Reformation. Our KSU students have produced a CD of "favorite Psalms" *. Click "Psalm MP3's" on the top of this page to listen to the Psalms that are on the CD as well as some recored from our group singing during our services. Feel free to call or write for your own FREE CD or to make a request for a particular Psalm that you would like to hear sung. We will try to post it as soon as possible for you to download! What is our vision for ministry in the Manhattan/Junction City area?
At the present time we are primarily made up of a family and a number of mature and energetic Kansas State University students under the oversight of the elders of our denomination in the area. If you know of any KSU students that would like to be involved in biblical discipleship and fellowship, please put them in touch with us. We would like to eventually form a congregation in Manhattan made up several families, KSU students, and soldiers stationed at Fort Riley. How to contact us
